  • LED Light Recommendation for Converting Lights of 2001 Ford Ranger Boat Trailer
  • You can certainly use the Optronics kit # TLL160RK for your boat trailer. These tail lights are great for marine trailers as they are sealed and have a waterproof construction. • Recommended License Plate Light With Bracket for Boat Trailer
  • For a license plate light and bracket on your boat trailer you want to use one that is submersible like the Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Light with Bracket - Submersible - 5 Diodes - Clear Lens # LPL56CB. I would not use the # M290B-P on your boat trailer. The Optronics light has a waterproof construction and specifically designed for applications like boat trailers. • How to Help with Loading Boat on Trailer at Night
  • The best way to help with loading your boat off and on the trailer at night would be with a set of lighted boat guide-ons like the CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons with LED Lights for Boat Trailers part # CE27760. These guide-ons will provide visual targets to center the boat during loading. They are 60" tall but can be trimmed and will fit pretty much any boat trailer with frame rails up to 3" wide x 4-1/4" tall. If your frame rail exceeds this measurement then you can use part # CE11416...

  • Can Curt T-Connector 4-Way C55384 Power Tailgate Lightbar While 7-Way Powers Boat Trailer Lights
  • You would not have any issue using the 4-way adapter part # C55384 as a way to power your tailgate lightbar while your 7-way powers the boat trailer lights. This is a common solution for your setup that would work just fine. Your boat trailer having LED lights would mean they draw considerably less too so you wouldn't have an amperage draw issue either.

  • Submersible/ Boat Trailer Incandescent Light Recommendation
  • The Optronics Trailer Tail Light # ST31RB is considered to be a weatherproof light, which means it can withstand the occasional rain shower, and according to my contact at Optronics, it is in fact submersible. That being said, I took a look at the light and wasn't able to really notice any type of seal surrounding the bulb, so I believe we have far better options for you. If your boat trailer is less than 80 inches wide, a similarly priced gasket sealed and waterproof incandescent light...

  • Incandescent or LED Replacement Boat Trailer Tail Lights
  • I would go with LEDs but you would have to replace all the lights on the trailer (or at least all the lights on the same circuit would have to be either LED or incandescent). The reason is that LEDs use much less amperage at the same voltage then do incandescents. Many LED tail lights are sealed which makes them ideal for boat trailers. When making the wiring connections you would want them to be watertight so shrink tubing would be great. I have included a link to our LED tail lights....

  • Lighted Guide On Recommendation for a Boat Trailer
  • We actually have a product that does exactly what you are looking to do. Check out the CE Smith Guide Ons part # CE27740. These are guide-ons that have LED lights on the tops of them for increased visibility. The PVC of this kit would be strong enough for it's intended purpose of helping guide a boat onto the trailer. As long as you aren't hitting them at too hard of angle you should be just fine. You would probably have bigger problems anyway if you were hitting these hard enough to break...

  • Locating Replacement Trailer Lights for 1998 Shorelandr Boat Trailer
  • We do have a large selection of trailer lights available that might work well as replacements on your boat trailer. I am not sure as to the exact model assembly that is installed on your Shorelandr Boat Trailer, but researching some pictures online, it looks like it uses rectangular lights similar to the Optronics # TLL160RK. These LED tail lights feature a sealed, waterproof construction perfect for boat trailers and the mounting hardware is included. They measure 2-7/8 inches tall,...

  • Single Wire ID Light Bar for a Boat Trailer Over 80 Inches Wide
  • Your old ID bar must have grounded through its mounting hardware since it only had the one wire. ID bar # MCL97RB also has just one wire and grounds through the mounting hardware. This is an LED light so it will draw much less power than incandescent lights. If your boat trailer is aluminum though a jumper ground wire should be attached between the frame and mounting hardware and attached to a steel surface or the main trailer connector ground. A ground issue is why the other light was...

  • Recommended Waterproof Trailer Lights For Boat Trailer Over 80-Inches Wide
  • The difference between waterproof and submersible is that the submersible lights have drain holes to let any water drain out if any should find its way inside the light while the waterproof does not allow water in because it is sonically sealed. For a boat trailer I recommend the waterproof since it does prevent water from entering. It is always a good idea to unplug your trailer from your tow vehicle when backing your trailer into water for loading and unloading. We do not have lights...
